How do I send a secure message?

The mobile policy for your organization determines whether you can send secure messages. For security purposes, the mobile policy for your organization may restrict secure mail recipients or may require that you include at least one recipient from a specific domain. For compliance purposes, the mobile policy for your organization may require that you automatically receive a copy of all secure messages you send from a mobile device.

If the mobile policy of your organization permits it, you can send secure messages to recipients outside your organization who do not have Voltage SecureMail or the Voltage SecureMail Mobile app installed. Recipients of secure messages who do not have Voltage SecureMail or the Voltage SecureMail Mobile app installed can open and read the secure message using the Voltage Zero Download Messenger in a browser.

To compose and send a message:

  1. Perform one of the following:
  2. Enter the recipients, subject, and message.
  3. Tap the Menu icon, then tap Send secure.

Note: If you are not allowed to send secure messages, the Compose icon is greyed out.
